What is Recreational soccer?
The LFC Recreational Soccer Program is for players in the Under 6 thru Under 18 age groups. Training for our recreational teams is community based. All teams typically play 8 to 10 games per season with all being on our home fields (except U14 & U18) All recreational teams are coached by volunteer coaches with the support of our Professional Coaching Staff. U6 play 4vs.4, U8 play 5vs.5, U10 play 6vs.6, U12 play 8vs.8 and U14 &U18 play 11vs.11.
What locations do you have?
We currently have two locations, Lake Parker and Loyce Harpe Park.
Recreational soccer is dependent on parent volunteers.
LFC has several opportunities for parent / public involvement within the club. Volunteer coaches are vital to the success of our recreational programs as we cannot form teams without them. When you register your child online you can also register as a volunteer. The organization will provide you with coaching education clinics.
Coaching Duties: As a coach with LFC, duties include; conducting practices, coaching/attending games, attending coaching educational clinics and communicating with parents.
How do I register my child?

How old does my child have to be?
Your child must be 4 by the first game in order to register them with LFC.
What are the fees and how do I pay?
The recreational program registration fee is (Check website for current year fee). This can be paid at registration in the form of a check or cash. The registration fee also includes our annual fundraiser to help offset the registration fee. This includes a uniform however; players are responsible to purchase proper equipment i.e. cleats, properly sized shin guards and proper size soccer ball.
Refund Policy for Recreational Fees
The club has a policy of No Refunds once teams are formed.
When does the season begin/end?
Recreational soccer plays two seasons per year. The fall season begins in mid September and ends in Late December. The spring season starts in mid February and ends in mid April.
What about practice locations, frequency, and times?
ALL teams practice at least 1 time per week. Depending on their age group, the session can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Practice duration, day of week and time is at the discretion of the volunteer coach. Practice locations are held at Lake Parker or Loyce Harpe fields.
What do I need for my child to play?
1. Shin Guards. They are mandatory and must be worn underneath the socks. The socks must cover the shin guard completely.
2. Appropriate foot wear. Soccer cleats are required.
3. Your child may not wear earrings and jewelry during practice or the game. This includes “starter earrings”. Casts on arms or wrists are not allowed to be worn even with padding.
4. All players are required to bring a ball (U6-U8 size 3, U10-U12 size 4 and U13 and up size 5) and should bring a labeled water bottle to ALL practices and games.
